IT Acquaintance Party 2008

This year's IT acquaintance party was sure to be the most unforgettable IT party for my whole stay in MSU-IIT as member of the Junior Information Technology Society (JITS). Yesterday's big day started with all the teams of IT, GREEN, BLUE, RED and PINK presenting and shouting our prepared cheers.

GREEN

BLUE

RED

PINK

After that first part, the AMAZING RACE IT version started. Our IT president then gave us the first clue of the first station. After reading the first clue, my team (Green) headed on to the ROTC office to d our first task - To solve all sides of a Rubric's Cube. Luckily, my member that was picked to do the task (yes...the organizers were the one who picked who will do it) knows how to do it. And so we were successful and received our next clue to the basketball court to perform a simple dribbling of the ball. All members were tasked to do it. After that station, we then ran our feet off to one of the University's building to do Long Line in that building's hallway using our things we have on hand. And so after we did it, we then went to where the flag pole was located to sing our university's hymn while freezing and showing a setting of a zoo with us acting as animals! That was really hilarious! LOL. Lastly, we went to a place that was considered "TBA" or To Be Arranged. At first, all of us were confused where to go but after we realized that when an IITian asks where is "TBA," another student will surely say, "LIKOD sa GYM (at the back of the Gym)! Hahahaha! Ang so we went there! We then solved our last challenge to receive our last clue! The last one was tough. We were ask to determine an output of a JAVA program. After the combined powers of my GREEN Team, we got our last clue and that is - to go to our building as our final station. When we arrived there, all flags we gathered we got from all the station by our president and told us that we were SECOND in the race. NOT BAD! LOL. Congrats to BLUE as first and us as Second, Red was third and PINK was the last! Hahahahaha!

After that super exciting race, we then went to the TIMOGA Spring Pools, the main venue of our party. Of course, we then took pictures of our tired faces yet very excited and looking forward on what will happen next. Here are some of our pics.

We were crazy! We were really like animals that were freed on cells and were given the chance to explore the jungle! hahahaha!

The food...yah...the Food. There were plenty! Enough for everybody. Though I didn't like some of them. But all in all, it was okay!

We dipped ourselves into the the refreshing waters of the natural spring pools. It was fun.

Disco of course! Ray was leading the chorus stepping of the very famous and redundant "LOW!" It was one of my favorite parts of the party! Almost all of the "dancerous" IT peepz went to the dance floor and danced like there's no more tomorrow!

The whole party was well participated. This was I think the year where in almost all of the IT students went and joined the unforgettable event. Indeed this year marked a very successful acquaintance party that will surely be added as one of the most-cherished part of the journey of all IT peepz who joined!

Our University's 40th Year

The formal opening of our Charter Day celebration of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology last week started with a flag raising ceremony that was attended by the leaders of the school and the respective deans of each colleges. Of course, the deans of each of the college proudly raised their respective banners or flags.

An exciting motorcade then followed bringing the energetic students and faculties to the streets of Iligan riding on their own float and cars. The whole city was blanketed by RED colors since almost all of the participants wore something red. The motorcade lasted for almost 30 to 45 minutes. It was so hot but still all participants were gleefully waving their smiles to the people they saw on streets. Of course I also joined the motorcade. LOL.

Proudly saying, our Executive Council did really a great job for making our very unique SCS WOLVES Float! I mean, this is the first and the only year so far that our college/school has its own big float. Take a look at our cute wolf.

Very nice isn't it? At first I really wondered and was confused if that was a WOLF or a MOUSE. But as I look at it a little longer, I have already totally convinved myself that it is really a Wolf! Bahahaha!

And so moving on, after the motorcade, different competitions and special events happened on that day. Also, prior to that day, there were already games and other activities done. Meaning, our charter day celebration is really a WEEK full of excitement and of course HOLIDAYS! Hahaha.

As I was saying after the motorcade, my friends brought out their cameras and CLICK..CLICK..CLICK! Take a look at the mighty students of MSU-IIT under the banner of the great WOLF of the School of Computer Studies (SCS).

The Fresh Faces of Freshmen

The Sophomores

Junior Power

Unbeatable Seniors

All IT People

(All students of every year level are not complete during the pictorial..HEhehe)

And so the whole charter day event was indeed very memorable.

The Lighter Side of Politics

I know almost all of us are affected in what is happening in our government nowadays. Even a single act and actions from our dearest politicians will definitely raise our eyebrows when we can't agree to them!

So in order for us to be enlightened why not try listening to this comedian who presents every detail about politics in a lighter side. He is Glenn Beck.

The pieces of Beck's jokes primarily focus on issues regarding the people in politics, the society and the things that affect all of us. This tactful comedian has brilliant ways and enough opinions that will surely make unaware citizens become aware in the present situation of politics. Other good thing about this comedian is that, Glenn Beck will make us all realize that no matter how dark the image of politics may be; still it has that humorous point where we can laugh about.

So be sure to watch out for Glenn Beck's Summer Political Tour '08 with his latest stop this coming July 17th at Dallas.

Ruby Year of My University

Us at Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology are currently celebrating our 4oth year of excellence and success. Lots of meaningful activities were held including the motorcade that happened a while ago! It was really fun. Together with my classmates and schoolmates, we enjoyed that motorcade around the clean city of Iligan (Hahaha..clean?).

Anyway, can't post the pictures here for now. I promise to post our pictures later in another post so you can all see it well.

Ok! Take care!

He is Glenn Beck

Nowadays, we are already aware of what are the problems and the present situation of this complicated world. Crude oil and food prices are rapidly increasing and thus leaving unwanted wrinkles in our faces due to over thinking!

So why not laugh at it for sometimes and don't think of it too much? Let's try not to worry a lot by simply laughing at it at the same time we are enlightened on the real score of the situation. And if you do so, Glenn Beck can indeed help you regarding this!

Glenn Beck becomes famous because of his realistic jokes through his political satire comedy. Unlike other comedians, Beck tackles serious issues regarding economic situations and even joke about politicians. This unique comedian is truly making sense by enlightening people what's happening out there in the real world. As a proof, I watched a video on his site entitled Glenn Beck: Food vs. Fuel and it did really make me realize how precious foods are and how we are really affected on the continues increase of the fuel price in the market. That video was indeed very much informative!

So don't cry over your problems inline with the society but instead just watch out for Beck's Summer Comedy Tour and especially this coming July 17th were in he will come to Dallas for that outrageous show that will be broadcasted live via FathomEvents to select movie theaters nationwide on that date.
